Kind + Jugend 2024 was a highlight for the baby and toddler industry. From 3 to 5 September, over 15.000 trade visitors and 912 exhibitors from all over the world met in Cologne to present and discuss products, trends and innovations. This was Kind + Jugend 2024

The Kind + Jugend trade fair 2024 was once again a great success! From the 3 to 5 September, experts from all over the world came together in Cologne to network, make new contacts and talk about the latest developments in the industry. With 912 exhibitors from 43 countries and around 15,000 enthusiastic trade visitors from 115 countries, the leading international trade fair for the baby and toddler equipment industry was not only a stage for product presentations and innovations, but also offered countless opportunities for dialogue and networking.

A central meeting place for the industry

The enthusiasm was already visible in the first few hours of the trade fair: the stands quickly turned into lively hubs for intensive discussions and the networking zone was also actively used to engage in dialogue in a quieter atmosphere. The Kind + Jugend trade fair 2024 once again proved that it is more than just an exhibition - it is the central meeting place for the industry. Representatives of leading brands, start-ups, retailers and experts from sales, marketing and development used the trade fair to strengthen existing relationships and build new partnerships.

The trade fair presented an ideal opportunity for BabyMocs, a brand making its debut at the event and still building recognition beyond its home country, Sweden. ‘The unique character of the fair provides us with an excellent platform to establish ourselves in Germany and Europe.’ states Project Manager Ester Olin.

International brands such as Done by Deer from Denmark don't want to miss Kind + Jugend either. After a few years' absence, Done by Deer was back at the trade fair in 2024. Head of Marketing Christopher Kjærulff tells us that the Kind + Jugend trade fair is ideal for the brand to explore the industry and successfully present its new products.

Inspiring speeches and new impulses

With the presentation of the ‘Innovation Award’ and the special ‘Midwives’ Choice' award, as well as a varied lecture programme, Kind + Jugend 2024 once again offered visitors a wide range of insights into current developments, future trends and innovations future trends and innovations in the industry and retail. Experts from Germany and abroad used the Trend Forum to present the latest studies and insights to an interested professional audience, explain business models and showcase best practice examples.

The main trends at this year's Kind + Jugend included multifunctional, everyday-friendly products that adapt and grow with the child, ergonomic designs, intelligent technologies and the important topic of sustainability.

Internationality and diversity

With participants from 115 countries, Kind + Jugend 2024 was once again an international highlight. For many companies, the trade fair was the perfect opportunity to present their brand to a global audience and tap into new markets.

This was also the case for AsiaNanoTech from South Korea, which was represented at Kind + Jugend for the first time in 2024. ‘We had the choice between exhibiting in the USA or in Germany. We then made a conscious decision in favour of Germany and the Kind + Jugend trade fair, as the sustainability focus of our brand is particularly well received and on trend in Europe,’ explains Operations Manager Annali Min.

The US company Owlet was also very thrilled. Chief Marketing Officer Elizabeth Teran shares: ‘We received incredibly positive feedback on our brand and had many interested visitors at our stand. The atmosphere at the trade fair was fantastic and it was wonderful to see how much effort everyone put into the design of their stands.’

A look into the future

Despite the challenges of the past few years, the industry is optimistic about the future. The trade fair has once again shown how important personal dialogue and strong networks continue to be. With many new contacts, great impressions and inspiring conversations, the participants will emerge from Kind + Jugend 2024 feeling strengthened. The focus on sharing expertise, building valuable business relationships and presenting exciting products has once again established the event as a unmissable event in the industry.
